Holi Hai!

Hi everybody!  A Hindu festival called Holi is celebrated on March 17th this year--same day as St. Patrick's day.  A lot of our Nepali and Indian students celebrate this festival of color to welcome spring. 

People usually throw colored powder and water on each other.   It's probably too cold for that (and too messy!), but your classes can celebrate by adding lots of color to the day in whatever way you can!  
Think colorful paints at the easels, colored chalk, colorful tissue paper activities, colored rice or colored ice/water in the sensory table...
